Hello. My name is Shae. Nice to meet you?

One of my major defining characteristics is that I’m not an LLM. I haven’t written for a blog or website in over a decade, but I’ve always wanted to, so I’m back to try my hand at it a second time now that I’m in my fourth decade of life.

One of the questions you may already be asking yourself at this point is: “Why now?” or perhaps the more rude, “Why ever?”

I’m not equipped to answer either question with 100% certainty at this time (9:03 PM, March 19, 2026). Perhaps by the time I finish this “About” page, I will have a better idea.

This blog exists to document my experience with CONSUMPTION. That’s right, like the other 8 billion humans, I was put here on God’s Green Earth™ to consume as much media and other various products as possible, and I needed a place to put my thoughts about them so that I could easily access them if I forget, or if other humans want to read them for some reason. There are surely other blogs that exist for this purpose, but I don’t really care about them. In fact, I don’t care about many important things, so, logically, why would I invest my energy into something unimportant? (There is an obvious contradiction here presented by this blog’s very existence, but I’ll leave the existentialism for my inevitable final blog post in three weeks when I get bored and/or depressed about how little I’ve managed to write in my first three weeks.)

Okay, enough rambling. I have my first post to plan.

Actually, before I sign off, I should caveat everything that you ever read on this site with: “I don’t know what I’m doing and I don’t know how to format a blog and I don’t know how to code and I don’t know how WordPress works and I don’t know anything at all, really.”

There, I have recused myself of every complaint that everyone could ever possibly have about the site design. Right? Ugh, I can already picture a flood of annoying marketing emails from web designers streaming into my email inbox. Great. Thanks, guys (it’s always literally men who run these scammy-looking businesses, isn’t it?), I really appreciate that. For the love of God, please don’t send me any emails trying to help me with SEO or anything like that. I don’t think I’ll be able to handle it.

Okay, enough rambling. I have my first post to plan.
